The Jacket

I have a feeling this might be the hardest part of the costume. I have an idea for it, but I don't know how easy it will be to acquire something that fits what I have in my mind. I might just go simpler and instead of keeping the theme of purple/gold zebra print going I'll use a solid color instead. Originally I was thinking purple, but now that I think about it, how would a nice shiny gold jacket look?
I could just use something simple and cheap like this. Technically I'd have to damage it to do what I want with the jacket though. And $50 isn't a cheap mistake if I do something wrong. I think I'm going to start checking out some thrift stores.

The wings

So I'm not sure if my idea is a sound one. The original idea is purple and gold zebra print being the color scheme of the costume. I did a couple little mockups of what zebra print might look like in that combination of colors, but I can't really get "gold" only a goldish yellow. Tell me what you think. . .

Shoes

So, I have some very specific requirements for shoes. I want to be able to mod them with some lights, and to do that I need clear soles or heels. The other problem I have is color. The theme is going to be zebra print, wings purple and gold. Should I get white shoes and paint/color them myself or just go standard black/white zebra.
So far the only real shoes I find that might work are these. They'll do the job, similar to my other pimp shoes. There are other color variations available too. I think for now I'll save the link here to come back to later once I get more pieces laid out and designed.

Just getting started

Alright, so I've decided I want to blog more, and have a place for just stuff. I have a few other blogs that I use for different purposes, but nothing to just talk. So here I am.
I'm going to start out simply by making some notes for myself.
